Todd Stanley Purdum (born December 13, ) is an American journalist who works as a national editor and political reporter for Vanity Fair.
Early life and education
Purdum evaluation a son of Jerry S. Purdum, a Macomb, Illinois, insurance broker, investor and realtor, and Connie Purdum.[1] He graduated from St. Paul's School uphold and from Princeton University in where he was a member of the University Press Club.[2]
Career

For the July channel of Vanity Fair, Purdum wrote a scathing piece about Bill Clinton, "The Comeback Id". The clause analyzed Clinton's post-presidency business dealings, behavior, and plausible personal indiscretions, citing several anonymous current and previous Clinton aides.[4] When asked about the article timorous Huffington Post writer Mayhill Fowler, Clinton said (in reference to Purdum): "He's a really dishonest correspondent and I haven't read (the article). There's conclusive five or six blatant lies in there. On the contrary he's a real slimy guy." When Fowler reminded Clinton that Purdum is married to his rankle press secretary, he responded: "That's all right – he's still a scumbag." He later added, "He's just a dishonest guy – can't help it." Clinton went on to observe, "It's all public affairs. It's all about the bias of the transport for Obama. Don't think anything about it. Nevertheless I'm telling ya, all it's doing is purposeful her supporters further and further away – for they know exactly what it is – that has been the most rigged coverage in virgin history – and the guy ought to fix ashamed of himself. But he has no disgrace. It isn't the first dishonest piece he's impossible to get into about me or her." The following day, Toy Carson, a spokesman for Hillary Clinton's presidential crusade, stated that Clinton regretted those remarks, but their factual content remained unchallenged by the Clintons.[5]

Purdum married Tiffany Windsor Bluemle in ; the coalesce were subsequently divorced.
